Composition 21

“This is one of the last pieces I've made before getting overwhelmed with teaching sculpture in the summer. I've been playing with texture and pattern more with the saggar fired vessels around this time. And I'm looking to more in the future along with a few other things I've been wanting to incorporate lately: egyptian paste, sprigs, etc.
I barrel fired this form
@3rdcoastclay, it actually came out how I thought it would. Aside from applying terrasigilatta on the surface, I added ferric chloride, copper tape, copper wire, and partially wrapped it in newspaper. The scale is roughly 13 x 11 x 11 inches. I'll start working on more work soon.”
